When visiting North Georgia Zoo you will get to learn about, view, and even get up close and personal with species such as the rare Albino Wallaby, Swamp Wallaby, the giant Red Kangaroo, Bennett Wallaby and Eastern Grey Wallaroo.

Kangaroo Conservation Center in Dawsonville Georgia less then 30 minutes away from North Georgia Zoo, is well known for their Kangaroo conservation & breeding program. Since they have closed their doors due to their focus on breeding, We hoped to help fill that void and give visitors a chance to see some of these magnificant animals up close. Those that did get a chance to experience the Kangaroo Conservation Center while it was open did get an amazing experience.  While we do not have the large numbers of Kangaroos that Kangaroo Conservation Center has,  we can offer a more personal, upclose  viewing and an amazing experience of learning and interaction with a large variety of Species of Kangaroos.

School Groups are welcome to come here to learn more about Kangaroos, Marsupials and other animals from Australia.
NGZ is also home to a large variety of Australian animals including the Sugar Glider, Kookaburra, Jungle Carpet Python, Bearded Dragon, Seagull and many others.
We offer customized Australian programs for School Groups.

We also offer
WILD ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS focused on the Kangaroos. Here you will have the opportunity to hold a baby kangaroo joey, you will also get a chance to visit, feed and interact with a variety of species of kangaroos including the largest species of kangaroo- the Reds!

We hope you will come visit us and learn all about the Kangaroos and see North Georgia Zoo at work in its Conservation effort of Kangaroos!
