Project Penguin Sponsorship

Picture
We are delighted to announce four new penguins arrived at the park in December 2020!
Mark, Beans, Mabel and Oyster are Endangered African Black-footed Penguins. Like all penguins, they do not fly, but they are adorable when they waddle from one place to another.

Since their arrival, Mabel and Beans have hatched thier very first baby penguin!! How exciting for thier species!

The African Penguin species are disappearing at a rapid pace, so we have partnered with the African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary to help slow the pace and bring the decline to a stop.

Meet the Penguins!

Picture

Mabel

She is a sweetheart of a penguin. She loves her keepers and likes to be right next to them when anything is going on.
Picture

Beans

He may seem shy at first but he has a big personality. He is most likely to shove the others out of the way for fish and always wants to know whats going on.
Picture

Mark

He is the most independent of the penguins and has a mind of his own. Mark is the first one to run up and he loves chasing toys and splashing around. Mark is also the loudest of our penguins and once he starts calling the others will join him.
Picture

Oyster

She is the youngest of our penguins. Oyster's favorite things to do are play with toys and going for a swim. She tends to follow behind the others but when she wants attention she will make sure she gets it!
