Curious about what the animals do with their recycled trees? Come join us and see for yourself! They love dragging them, eating them, rubbing on them, tearing them up and much more! Great fun and enrichment for both animals and humans alike!
Do you have a Tree to recycle?
Bring it with you and get $1 off admission! Please see requirements for dropping off trees first.
Recycle your Christmas Tree!
For many families, bringing in a live Christmas tree is a tradition. However, in just a few days, you will want it out of the house and even out of the yard. North Georgia Zoo will be taking in recycle trees and using them as tasty treats and toys for their zoo animals.
IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE DROPPING OFF YOUR TREE!
We can only recycle natural trees. NO trees that have been sprayed, treated with chemicals.
We cannot recycle trees with tinsel or other decorations left on. .
No artificial trees, only live trees without decorations, tinsel or other man made materials.
Green trees only, no decaying, brown or old trees.
Help us make this a success.
Remember these trees will be used for animals as food, treats and enrichment for the animals. Give them a happy and healthy holiday treat!
