- Do you have Wi-fi at the park? There is minimal cell service and no Wi-Fi, so please book and plan ahead of time. Screen shot tickets and redeem coupons before arrival. Enjoy being un-plugged!
- Do you rent wheelchairs, wagons or strollers? Equipment rental is unavailable. However, you are welcome to bring your own to the park.
- Is the park handicapped accessible? Yes. However the park is more rustic and most paths are gravel, rock or grass. Some areas are not accessible. A golf cart is available by reservation for tours. Please contact our office by calling 706-348-7279.
- Please be aware our animal feed cups & buckets do contain peanuts.
- Park Admission is required for ALL animal experiences.
- Which admission do I need if I am doing an animal experience? You need to purchase the General Admission for Experiences in the check out process. This is a discounted rate and only available in the check out process of your experience. Failure to purchase at the same time as booking the experience will result in paying full price for the Park admission upon arrival. All Non-Participants must purchase the regular priced admission.
- We want you to fully enjoy your encounter or experience so you will not be allowed to take your own photos on any Otter experience. To provide the best experience possible we don't allow photography. This limits the distraction by the participant and the animal. Our trained photographers are experienced in capturing candid and posed moments in a manner that is safe and fun for everyone. If you purchase the Observer option you may take photos for Otter.
- Anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult to enter and participate on any tours, experiences or specialty events.
- How long does it take to tour the park? NGWP has so many options you can choose from. You can take an entire day to do the full experience or choose from the variety of options. Allow 2-3 hours to ensure you receive the full experience. If you are wanting to add on the additional experience options, allow a minimum of 3-4 hours.
-Wildlife Walk Tours are 45-60mins long and run on the hour every hour starting the hour after we open.
-Petting Farm and Safari Park are at your leisure. You can attend anytime during the day you are ticketed for, regardless of your entry time. Check in at the ticket booth for your tour and experience start times. - Can you leave the park and return later? If you need to leave the park at anytime during your visit, keep your ticket & receipt as proof of initial entry for the day. This ensures you will be able to return. Admission is only good for the same day.
- What if I am late to my scheduled experience? Experiences start promptly at their scheduled time. If you are late, you will be asked to reschedule. Note: there is a rescheduling fee for missing your experience time. We do NOT give refunds. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your start time in case of traffic on your way, lines at the ticket booth and time to get to your designated area.
- What is your cancellation policy? Bookings and deposits are non-refundable. Should you be unable to attend your scheduled activity, please contact our booking office at 706-348-7279 to reschedule. Failure to reschedule an activity a minimum of 72 hours beforehand will result in cancellation without refund. Rescheduling within 72 hours of your scheduled activity will result in a rescheduling fee. If you purchase cancellation insurance, you may cancel without penalty. Inquire for more details.
- What happens if it rains? There are shelters and activities that are amazingly fun in any kind of weather. If you do not have rain gear, you may purchase ponchos and umbrellas at the ticket booth and continue your adventures in the rain. You can also choose to relax at one of our benches or picnic tables and allow the weather to pass. We do have some encounters that are under a roof or can be done under shelters. SUMMER RAIN SHOWERS are part of Georgia summers. Schedule tour times will continue, If there is a summer down pour, your tour may be delayed slightly. Please come prepared for that. Refunds or rain-checks for inclement weather are not offered.
- Does the Park ever close because of weather? Yes, sometimes we have to close because of weather. Guest safety is our number one priority and there are certain weather circumstances that may cause the entire park to close earlier than scheduled or not open at all. As soon as closures are confirmed the website will be updated. Please call or check the website prior to visiting on days when weather may be a concern. If you are schedule for a reserved tour, please call to confirm your tour on days of inclement weather. We will also call those reserved if rescheduling needs to be done.
- Do you give rain-checks for inclement weather? We do not provide rain checks UNLESS the entire park itself needs to close.
- Do you provide refunds or rain-checks if children or adults are not able to finish the tour, experience etc. We cannot provide rain-checks or refunds. Please be advised: Wildlife Walks are 45 to 60 minutes. Experiences are approx. 15-45 minutes. While children love the tours, and experiences, we cannot guarantee how your child will respond.
- Do we get a refund or rain-check if our tours, experiences or other activities are delayed? We do not give out refunds or rain-checks for situations such as these. Please come prepared to have a great time but allow flexibility. We are known for our one of a kind tours and experiences. At times these may be slightly delayed due to weather, guests delayed at other activity or animal transport to the experience area. There are many fun and exciting things to do here at the park, so while you are waiting feel free to browse the gift shop, pet some more animals, enjoy a snack or drink, relax in the shade, visit parakeet landing, the Safari Park or enjoy other activities going on.
- How far in advance can I make a booking? We post our schedule 1-2 months in advance. If you are looking to book farther out than that, please check back closer to the date.
- Are pets welcome in the park? We are sorry but no pets allowed.
- What is your Service Animal Policy? Guests requiring ADA registered service animals must check in at the admissions counter before gaining entry. Restricted areas include the Wildlife Walk, Kiddie Coral, Parakeet Landing and any specialty animal experiences. We recommend calling in advance to make us aware as we have livestock guardian dogs on the property. We do not recognize emotional support animals (ESA) or pets as service animals. NO pets allowed.
- What should I wear? We are a one of a kind wildlife park with a rustic appeal. We recommend that you wear comfortable and securely fitting shoes and clothing. We do sell sunscreen and insect repellent at the gift shop. If you are joining us on an Experience, please be sure to read "What to Know Before Your Experience"
- What is the age limit for encounters? Most experiences are for ages 8 and up. However we do have a few child safe encounters. The Safari Park has great experiences for smaller children.
- What is the dress code? long pants are required for Experiences with Otters & Penguins (this includes the otter splash for the dry portion of the experience . Regular visits do not require you to wear pants. Closed toed shoes (tennis shoes or boots) ankles and feet need to be fully covered (no exposed skin). Please do not wear any body jewelry (Jewelry rule applies for animal experiences like Otter Splash, etc.) loose clothing, NO selfie sticks, strong perfume / cologne. Please leave tobacco products in vehicle and keep long hair tied up. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
- Will I get dirty on the animal experiences? You may get dirty or muddy. Otters don't mind swimming then jumping in your lap wet. With other experiences, there is always a chance of an animal needing to relieve themselves on or near you so just prepare accordingly!
- How do I check available dates for booking birthday parties or group visits? Please contact the Office at (706) 348-7279 or email us.
- Is the Park open on holidays/ holiday weekends? The park is open most holidays. Please check the calendar for dates and hours. Updates about closings due to inclement weather can be found on the homepage of our website and on calendar.
- Is the Park open during the winter? The park is open limited hours in the winter, usually on Saturdays and Sundays only. Check our Calendar for more information.
- Where can I find out about pricing of guided tours, experiences and programming? You can find our more information throughout the different tabs at the top of the webpage.
- Can I pack a lunch to eat at the park with our kids? Yes you may. There is a picnic area that can be used. The picnic area is only available to guest with paid general admission.
- What is your policy on group discounts? 15 people or more are required for group rates and must be reserved in advance: Learn more and get rates here
- Are there any rules about the Park I should know prior to my visit?

- Is smoking allowed at North Georgia Wildlife Park & Safari? The Wildlife Park is a smoke free zone. Those wishing to smoke must be located outside the zoo premises, at least ten feet away from the entry and animals.
- How I can be assured animals are treated humanely? North Georgia Wildlife Park & Safari makes every effort to ensure that all of the physical and psychological needs of each animal are met and/or surpassed. As a USDA, DNR and USDI accredited institution, we must meet the official approval by USDA inspectors and Fish and Wildlife experts. These experts carefully examine each animal facility including living environments, social groupings, health and nutrition. USDA also makes sure that animals are provided with enrichment, which stimulates each animal's natural behavior and provides variety in their daily routine. The North Georgia Wildlife Park & Safari prides itself on continuing to maintain these high standards.
- What is your method of payment? Cash, VISA and MasterCard. You may also purchase your tickets online ahead of time.
**Taxes and fees apply when purchasing tickets online. Charges on your receipt & bank statement will show from Wildlife Wonders. - Do you have an ATM in the park? We do not have an ATM onsite. Most tickets can be purchased ahead of time Online. There is minimal cell service and no Wi-Fi, so please book ahead of time.
- Do you have a concession stand? Yes. You can purchase drinks, chips, and an assortment of candy. We do not have a restaurant or hot food onsite but recommend Creekside Deli & Chick fil a located 10 mins from the park in Cleveland.
- Do you have a gift shop? Yes. The open air Gift Shop offers an array of zoo and animal themed gifts, t-shirts and toys. VISA and MasterCard are accepted in the gift shop. We also have our Online Gift Shop
- Can you reserve shelters inside the park? You can reserve a picnic area for your party or group. We also offer a Pavilion option. View information here
- Where are the restrooms located in the park? Restrooms are located at adjacent to the parking area next to the reptile house and porta johns are available near both parking lots.
- Can I, my family, or group volunteer at North Georgia Wildlife Park? Absolutely. We love volunteers. Learn more about volunteering by clicking HERE.
- Can I, my family or group adopt an animal or sponsor an exhibit? We would love your support. Learn more about our adopt and animal programs and our sponsorship programs here.
- Can I take videos and photos? We encourage you to take photos and video for your own personal use. Commercial photography is allowed, but only with prior written permission. Please contact the marketing department for more information, or review our location filming policy. Go Pros are included in the filming policy requiring written permission. We may photograph visitors from time to time for promotional and educational purposes: Entry to the Park grants permission for us to use these images.
- Loyalty Club FAQs
- Where can I purchase or renew my Loyalty Club Membership? You can purchase or renew your loyalty club membership online here
- Does the Member have to be present to purchase a Loyalty Club membership? Anyone can purchase an annual discount club membership in or out of state. You must have the receivers name, email and address.
- Who can use the benefits of the membership? Only the Loyalty Club members listed on your membership can redeem your membership benefits. If you purchase a Family Pack, please be sure to list all members you would like covered by the membership during your purchase. You will be prompted to do so. Anyone not listed under your membership will not be able to redeem full benefits at the park, but members do receive 10% off of Admission for all guests they bring!
- Can my friend use my membership card without me present? Only the Loyalty club members whose names are on in our database have permission to use the membership.
- Do Loyalty Club members have to be present to use guest pass? Yes, the guest pass is set up to be used to bring a friend or guest with your regular club membership pass.
- Can I get a refund for a loyalty club membership? Sorry, memberships are not refundable.
