​​Entry-Level Zookeeper: Are you a budding animal professional who loves sharing the "why" behind wildlife conservation? At North Georgia Wildlife Park, we believe that every animal has a story and every keeper is a storyteller. We are looking for an energetic, entry-level Zookeeper to join our team. Unlike traditional "behind-the-scenes" roles, this position is at the heart of our mission: connecting people and animals. You won’t just be cleaning habitats and prepping diets; you’ll be the bridge between our diverse animal collection and our curious guests.

Our Diverse Collection
You’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide taxonomic range, including:
  • Mammals: Small primates, hoofstock, and native carnivores.
  • Birds: Raptors, psittacines, and softbills.
  • Ectotherms: A robust collection of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates used for educational programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Husbandry & Care: Perform daily cleaning, feeding, and enrichment for a designated string of animals, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare.
  • Public Engagement: Supporting our guest experience team and participating with animal encounters and other educational opportunities
  • Observation & Record Keeping: Monitor animal health and behavior, maintaining detailed logs in our record keeping software
  • Habitat Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of naturalistic exhibits that serve both animal needs and educational aesthetics.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside our Education Department to develop new ways to inspire environmental stewardship in our visitors.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, Biology, Wildlife Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience: Previous internship or volunteer experience in animal husbandry
  • Communication:  Public speaking skills and a genuine enthusiasm for interacting with guests of all ages.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in all weather conditions, and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Assistant Hoofstock Keeper: North Georgia Wildlife Park and Safari is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Hoofstock Keeper to join our growing animal care team. This role is vital to our mission of connecting people with animals through excellence in husbandry and education. You will work closely with our Hoofstock Keeper to provide amazing care for our diverse collection of ungulates, ensuring their physical and behavioral needs are met daily. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Husbandry: Execute daily cleaning, feeding, and nutrition protocols for a variety of hoofstock species.  
  • Behavioral Enrichment & Training: Assist in developing and implementing enrichment schedules and basic training to enhance animal welfare.  
  • Health & Medical Support: Monitor animal health and behavior, assisting with medical treatments and veterinary procedures as directed.  
  • Meticulous Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate logs regarding diet, health, and behavior in our facility’s tracking system.  
  • Public Engagement: Act as an ambassador for the park by interacting with guests and providing educational information about our animals and conservation efforts.  
Required Skills & Experience
  • Husbandry Knowledge: Experience with hoofstock husbandry, including equine, farm animals, or other ungulate species.  
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

We are looking for a passionate Tour Guide and Animal Educator to serve as the voice for our animals and an inspiration to our guests.
The Role As an Animal Educator, you are more than a guide—you are a storyteller and a conservationist. You will lead immersive tours that bring guests face-to-face with our diverse animal residents, turning every encounter into a powerful learning moment. Your goal is to move beyond "facts and figures" to create emotional connections that inspire guests to care about the future of wildlife.

​Ticket Booth & Retail Associate: North Georgia Zoo and Farm is a family-friendly zoological and farm attraction dedicated to connecting people with animals and nature. As a Christian-based institution, we prioritize education, conservation, and memorable guest experiences.
Join our team as a Ticket Booth Operator and Sales Associate at North Georgia Zoo and Farm in Georgia. In this role, you will be the friendly face welcoming visitors, managing ticket sales, and enhancing their experience at our zoo and farm attractions.

Filled Positions

Medical Coordinator: NGWP is looking for a Medical Coordinator to join the Animal Care Team. We are looking for someone who is on board with our core values, mission, and purpose statements. This position requires strong communication skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to; communication with Veterinarian and Zoo Leadership, overseeing medical treatments, overseeing routine medical care (dewormings, flea treatments, nail trims, ect), maintaining medical records, working with zookeepers, along with various other tasks. Requirements for this position include medical knowledge, ability to do shots, ability to run fecals, animal first aid, and being organized. Experience with all the species we have is not required but willingness and ability to learn is. Position will include working with both exotic and livestock species. This position is full time. 

Retail Team Lead: Retail Team Lead to manage daily operations in the gift shop and ticket booth. This role involves supervising front-line staff, overseeing POS systems and financial transactions, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean, guest-friendly environment. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Experience in attractions, tourism, or zoo retail settings is preferred.

Animal Educator:​​ Educators will help facilitate & deliver educational programs that support our mission both off-site and onsite. This position is responsible for conducting educational programming by engaging with the public in a fun, interactive, and unique way. The desired candidate should have a positive outlook, able to work independently, or as a member of a team. This team member should also be versatile and flexible in their information delivery in daily responsibilities. Hours of availability need to be flexible for offsite travel and be available on weekends. This position requires previous animal handling, animal care, and/or animal education experience. 

Hoofstock and Giraffe Keeper: We are looking for a keeper with giraffe experience for spring 2025.

Seasonal Employees: We are looking to hire seasonal tour guides, ticket sales, and tractor drivers for our upcoming spring season! You must have good customer service skills, organization skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated to learn, and can get excited about what the zoo is all about and what we offer. 

General Labor: Looking for a person who is self-sufficient to do projects around the park. Able to follow instructions, work well with people and follow through with tasks. This includes: painting, repairs, construction, tractor work etc. Must have own set of basic tools and have prior experience.

Livestock Assistant: Responsible to assist in all aspects of livestock care. Animals include but are not limited to: camels, buffalo, mini pigs, goats, ponies, antelope, and more. Responsibilities will include feeding, watering, medicating, tracking and assisting with breeding programs, records, assisting in sales, assisting in tours, assisting with birthing and much more. Experience with tractors and trailers is required. A great opportunity to learn. Pay increases with experience. Willingness to go offsite for travelling petting zoos would be a plus. Must have at least 1-2 year prior experience working with livestock.

Office Assistant/ Secretary. Looking for someone available 3-5 days a week. Must be good on the phone, great with people, very detail oriented, self-motivated to learn and can get excited about what the park is all about to promote what we offer. This job requires a great deal of multi-tasking and ability to handle and thrive in a fast-pace environment. Computer skills are required to help update websites and do online bookings.

Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
We’re seeking someone who can help manage all social media channels, create strong digital content, coordinate with influencers and media, and support marketing efforts across multiple brands under the NOGOWILD umbrella. You’ll work directly with leadership to tell the story of our park, special encounters, baby animals, conservation work, and fun new experiences.


Full Time/Part Time Commissary Keeper:​ Preparing diets for a variety of species and helping keepers where needed. You will be responsible for our food prep area and maintain organization and cleanliness. Knife skills are a must along with being a quick worker and the ability to multitask. Looking for a hard working, self motivated, reliable individual that is on board with our core values, mission and purpose statement. Must be a quick learner and strive to constantly grow and learn and be effective in the job and goals laid out. Responsibilities include: Preparing the daily diets including cutting up the fruits, veggies and butchering as needed. Sorting and organizing incoming produce, food and supplies. Weekly shopping trips to pick up the supplies for diet preparation, zoo etc. Responsible for keeping the prep area neat and organized. Zoo keeping as needed along with diet preparation for all the animals. Assisting Keepers as needed Daily responsibilities as laid out for you. Must have a basic understanding of food nutrition or be willing to do research and learn. Must be comfortable with a lot of cutting and chopping of food. (use a knife, cutter and food prep supplies well) Must be able to follow directions well, Must be able to work as a team and communicate with keepers their needs and diet changes etc. Must be self motivated, reliable, able to set goals and move quickly. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time. 

Guest Experience Team Member: Our Guest Experience Team is responsible for educating the public, on-site at the park, about conservation while providing an experience they will never forget! You must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift 50 pounds at one time, and manage groups of up to 25 people. Team members must possess a thirst for knowledge, a positive attitude, and an ability to be flexible while being a team player. This can be a seasonal position, with the potential for full-time.

Guest Experience Assistant: This position will work closely with our Guest Experience Director as the both of you work hand and hand to ensure each guest has an experience they will never forget. This position needs to be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the day. Duties may include leading tours of up to 25, assisting in scheduling specialty events and staff, overseeing the training of new staff, and helping keep materials organized and up to date. Experience with animals, educating groups and public speaking, POS and booking systems, and team leadership is preferred.

Exotic Animal Curator Assistant: This position would be working closely with the Director of Animal Care. Duties would include helping with permits, animal records, scheduling, interviews, training, and problem solving. Flexibility is needed as daily tasks may be varied and changing. Experience with Animal Husbandry, USDA regulations, management, and computers is needed.

Zookeeper and educator- Reptiles must have experience with reptiles, amphibians and insects. Requires good education skills, attention to details and comfortable handling reptiles. Filled

Onsite & Mobile Petting Zoo Help & Part time livestock help: Assist in farm animal area keeping the area clean for visitors and animals fed and watered. Helping with animal encounters, bottle feeding when necessary. Also train to do traveling petting zoos. Help with the livestock programs when open. Assist in training of the livestock. Trailer driving experience a plus. Part - Time and Full time - Filled

Relief Keeper: Must have previous zookeeper experience. Experience with multiple species and animal groups a plus. Responsible to fill in for other keepers. Requires attention to detail. Need excellent communication and documentation skills. Able to work well with others. FILLED

Facility & Operations Assistant Manager -details coming soon. Experience with leading others. Experience in general maintenance and upkeep of other facility a plus. Must have an eye for detail. Can work on and in systems and organization. Communicate well. Work under pressure, a doer who strives to constantly provide improvements- Coming Soon

Marketing: Must have experience with Microsoft office. Experience creating banners, flyers a plus. Experience with social media and constant contact a plus. Experience with photo and editing software a plus. May be willing to train also. Part time approx. 10-20 hrs. a week. This job includes but not limited to assisting with social media, sending out promotions, sending out emails, scheduling campaigns and flyers to be sent out for upcoming events and promotions. Keeping calendars updated and refreshed, keeping good data base and records of all things marketing. Filled

Ticket Booth Attendant: This position is responsible for the checking in of people who book ahead of time, as well as people who purchase admission onsite. This position is often the first person guests meet while visiting us, the ability to make them feel welcome is needed. You must be able to multitask and have the ability to work under pressure. Must be able to learn and use new technology and systems as we strive to ever improve our check-in process. Point of sales or previous cashier work is not needed but preferred.
