Spend the day shadowing a zookeeper. Meet some amazing animals while learning about zoo keeping *Please bring your own lunch and drink with you. *We ask that you wear comfortable close toed shoes, long pants and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. *We also ask that you bring a water bottle to have with you throughout the day. Level 1 Keeper Shadowing
Weekdays/Non-Holiday: $225 for half day or $425 for full day Weekends, Holidays, Peak Season: $450 for half day or $850 for full day Must be 9 years or older Full day runs from 10 am-4 pm, and Half day runs from 10 am-1 pm. The person shadowing will have the opportunity to assist with feeding, cleaning, training, and hands-on care with a variety of animals, including livestock, armadillos, porcupines, kangaroos, birds, reptiles, and more. They will also see animals such as water buffalo, zebras, camels, fennec foxes, and others. Add on a zoo buddy for $125 (Weekdays) or $250 (Weekends, Peak season & holidays) *required for ages 9-11. This is a staff member to stay with your child for the day Level 2 Keeper Shadowing Weekdays/Non-Holiday: $225 for half day or $425 for full day Weekends, Holidays, Peak Season: $450 for half day or $850 for full day Must be 12 years or older. Full Day runs 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, and Half Day runs 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Level 2 is only available after completing Level 1. This level expands into more advanced areas of animal care, including carnivores such as wolves and wildcats. Participants may also have the opportunity to observe and interact with species such as lynx, serval cats, or wolves. They will also gain exposure to select primate species like monkeys and bush-babies, along with other enrichment and training activities. We strongly recommend booking both Level 1 and Level 2 together, as the full experience is designed as a two-day progression to provide a complete, well-rounded understanding of all aspects of the zoo. |
