Internship Description

Paid Apprenticeship Program

North Georgia Wildlife and Safari Park is proud to have an apprenticeship program. This is a year long commitment that is to help you grow in your Animal Husbandry skills and learn what it takes to be a zookeeper. During the year, you will work and participate in multiple sections of the zoo so that you have a wide array of experience and help learn which area in the Animal Care Field you are most interested in doing. You will gain experience in education, husbandry, and leadership during your time at North Georgia Wildlife Park. If you are ready to work hard and grow this may be the next step in your career.

Coming into the apprenticeship program you should already be familiar with basic husbandry standards and care. You are not expected to know every species and their care but know the basic animal care skills which are transferable to almost any species.

This is a paid 12 month commitment.

Discounted housing options available. Must have previous internship or basic animal/Zoo experience. Inquire for more info!
