As the tallest mammals on earth, a baby giraffe is born at 6ft tall, weighing nearly 100 pounds! Full grown, a giraffe can be 14 to 18 feet tall, weighing 1500-3000 pounds.

Giraffes are known for their tall stature and long necks, but did you know they have 7 vertebrae in their necks, just like humans?!

They use their long necks to reach high browse, or leaves, in tall trees to fulfill thier herbivorous dietary needs.

Continue to follow and support our journey so we can further expand our education and conservation of this magnificent animal!
