Chloe and Bane Wolf, two of the resident timber wolves of the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland, GA, are proud to announce the birth of sextuplets! The six beautiful pups are looking for names – please feel free to send us your suggestions!

Chloe is a first-time mom, and she is very excited! Although, she admits that having six puppies is a little daunting, she is confident that with the help of the zookeepers, she will be just fine.

Wolves usually have one litter of pups each year, ranging from four to six pups. At birth the pups weigh about one pound. The newborns are blind and deaf and depend upon their mother for warmth. In about two weeks, their eyes open, and in three weeks, they emerge from the den and begin to explore their world.

Wolves are among the most majestic creatures at the zoo, but they are only one of almost 100 different species of animals that call North Georgia Zoo home.
The zoo is located at 2912 Paradise Valley Road, Cleveland, GA, 30528. Visit www.northgeorgiazoo.com for more info and to make reservations.
